Virlee Annette (Haas) Hayden, 89, passed away on October 16, 2026, in Louisville, Kentucky.

She was born on October 28, 1937, in Saint Anthony, Indiana, to her parents, Rose and Anthony Haas.

Virlee deeply cherished her family, especially her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her so much joy; she treasured the time they spent together and the memories they created, holding those moments close to her heart. The laughter, love, and special times shared with her family were among her most precious gifts, leaving behind beautiful memories that will continue to be cherished.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Rose and Anthony Haas; her sister, Diane Haas; her brother, Bobby Haas; and her sister, Betty Welp. She will be remembered by her loving husband of 68 years, Raymond “Ray” Hayden; her children, Daryl (Angela), Duane, and Doug (Deana) Hayden; grandchildren, Alan (Stephanie) Hayden, Danielle (Jonathan) Cornett, and Dustin (Joyce) Hayden; great-grandchildren, Kameron, Cooper, Tinley, Macie, Eli, Ella, and Emmett; Sisters, Marlene (Gene) Hochgesang, Mary Jo (Kelvin) Schwindel.

Her funeral service will be at 12 p.m. Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at Owen Funeral Home – Jeffersontown, 9318 Taylorsville Road, Louisville, KY 40299, with burial to follow in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at Owen Funeral Home-Jeffersontown.
