Virginia R. Aders, 85, formerly of Saint Meinrad

Virginia R. Aders, 85, formerly of Saint Meinrad, passed away Thursday, March 18, 2021, at Memorial Hospital in Jasper.

Virginia was born May 11, 1935, in Saint Meinrad to Richard and Olivia (Denning) Werne.

She was united in marriage to Bernard Aders on April 25, 1953, in Saint Meinrad Archabbey Church. Bernard preceded her in death on May 1, 2003.

Virginia enjoyed knitting and jigsaw puzzles. She was a homemaker

She is survived by two daughters, Cindy (Adolph) Begle of Huntingburg and Doris (Aaron) Robinson of Tennyson; one son, Randall (Debbie) Aders of Huntingburg; seven grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Faye (David) Welp of Jasper.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Lee Hartwick.

A mass of Christian burial will be held Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. CST in Saint Meinrad Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 CST until the time of the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Northwood Good Samaritan Retirement Community.
