Virginia Nell “Jennie” Haas, 88

Virginia Nell “Jennie” Haas, age 88, of Velpen, formerly of Oakland City and Evansville, passed away at 7:10 p.m., Thursday, June 28, 2012 at the Good Samaritan Home in Oakland City, Indiana.
She was born November 4, 1923 in Butler County, Kentucky to Charlie and Polie (Hopf) Givens. Virginia was united in marriage to Robert L. Haas on March 9, 1968 in Shawneetown, Illinois. She worked for twenty years at the Mid-States Rubber Co. in Princeton and then went to work at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Huntingburg. She was preceded in death by: two brothers, Edwin Givens and James Givens; and two sisters, Virginia Haas and Earlene Grubb.
She is survived by:

- Chris Hathaway – Princeton, IN
- Amanda “Mandy” Haas – Indianapolis, IN
- Cody Haas – Kyana, IN
by (5) great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Virginia “Jennie” Haas will be held at 10:00 a.m., Eastern Daylight Time, on Monday, July 2, 2012 at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Montgomery Cemetery in Oakland City. Pastor Larry Johnson will officiate the services.
Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 2:00-8:00 p.m., E.D.T., on Sunday.
