Virginia L. Schitter, 86

Virginia L. Schitter, age 86, passed away Saturday at1:05 p.m. at her home in Ireland.

She was born in Jasper on February 25, 1926 to Herbert L. Adams Sr. and Dolly M. King Adams. She married Rudolph “Rudy” Schitter October 2, 1943 in ElPaso, Texas. He preceded her in death on February 21, 1998.

Virginia retired from Kimball Electronics where she worked for 17 years.

She is a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Ireland and the St. Ann’s Socidety. Jasper Moose Lodge 1175 Auxiliary.

She enjoyed bowling, traveling and crocheting.

Preceding her in death besides her husband is one son Gary Schitter. Two sister’s Audrey DeBlasio and Patty Adams and brothers, Herbert James Jr., Paul, Charles and Bob Adams.

Funeral services for Virginia Schitter will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday (July 25, 2012) in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ireland with burial to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Becher-Kluesner downtown Chapel in Jasper.

Moose memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
