Viola M. Ragle, 84, of Otwell, Indiana, passed away at 12:20 a.m. Sunday, June 28, 2015, at Amber Manor Care Center in Petersburg.
She was born August 5, 1930 in Evansville to Frank and Mable (Edwards) Henze. She married Charles M. Ragle on March 5, 1955 at the Velpen General Baptist Church in Velpen. Viola graduated from Otwell High School and Lockyear Business College. She worked as a bookkeeper for Scraper Sales in Otwell; was a member of the Velpen General Baptist Church; and enjoyed reading and spending time being around friends and family. She was preceded in death by two brothers, William Henze and Earl Henze; five stepsisters, Eleanor Vogel, Dorothy Thomas, Rita Doerfolur, Leona Wininger and Marcella Kaiser; and one granddaughter, Laura Leann Culp.
She is survived by her husband, Charles M. Ragle of Otwell; two daughters and one son-in-law, Doris Ann Ragle of Evansville and Martha (Jeff) Culp of Seymour; and two grandsons, Brian Culp and Kyle Culp.Funeral services for Viola M. Ragle will be held at 2:00 p.m., E.D.T., on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Velpen. The Reverend Lowell Thomas will officiate at the service.
