Viola K. Berg

Viola K. Berg, age 82 of Jasper passed away at 3:40 a.m. Saturday (December 24, 2011) in the Providence Home Health Care Center in Jasper.

She was born at St. Anthony, Indiana on August 1, 1929 to Michael and Martina (Nord) Voegerl. She married William Berg on September 13, 1947 in St. Anthony Catholic Church in St. Anthony, Indiana.

Viola Berg had worked for the Jasper Glove Company in Jasper for many years.

She is a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church – St. Ann’s Society.

She enjoyed playing bingo and working with ceramics.

  • Mrs. Charles (Debra) Cleveland, Tallahassee, FL

Two sons,

  • Thomas Berg, Jasper, IN
  • Jeff Berg and spouse Ann, Ireland, IN

10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren

One brother,

  • Leroy Voegerl, St. Anthony, IN

Preceded in death by two daughters, Sandra and Phyllis Berg also one son, Timothy and one grandson, Andrew Also one sister Rosie Altmeyer and four brothers, Norbert, Othmar, Lawrence Voegerl and Oscar Weber. .

Funeral services for Viola Berg will be held at 1;00 p.m. Tuesday (December 27, 2011) in St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Monday (December 26, 2011) at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.

Rosary will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday by the St. Ann’s Society.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or to the Providence Home Health Care Center in Jasper.
