Vincent E. “Vinny” Friedman, 53, of Haysville, passed away at 1:00 a.m. on Friday, September 11, 2015, at home.

Vinny was born in Jasper on December 10, 1961 to Patrick and Rosemary (Klueh) Friedman He married Diana Raney on October 18, 2014.

He was a graduate of the Northeast Dubois Class of 1980.

Vince retired from the Dubois County Sheriff’s Department, where he was a sheriff’s deputy for 18 years. Vince worked at Meyers Truck Equipment for approximately eight years.

He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed hunting, especially ginseng, turtle, deer, turkey, coyote, and mushroom hunting.

He is survived by his wife Diana Friedman of Haysville; one son, Kyle Friedman of Jasper; one daughter, Kiona Friedman of Jasper; one stepdaughter, Whitney Jellison and her husband Craig of Jasper; mother, Rosemary Friedman of Jasper; two sisters, Jane Wagner and her husband Mike of Jasper and Leah Knight of Noblesville; three brothers, Patrick “Rocky” Friedman of Dubois, Scott Friedman and his wife Nancy of Celestine and Brett Friedman and his wife Mary of Otwell; several nieces and nephews; one great niece.

Preceding him in death is his father, Patrick Friedman.

Funeral services for Vincent E. “Vinny” Friedman will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 14, 2015, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper, with burial to follow in St. Raphael’s Cemetery in Dubois, Indiana.

Friends may call from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 13, 2015, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.
