Vincennes University Jasper to host Women in Tech Showcase

Vincennes University Jasper will host a Women in Tech Showcase on Friday, September 18, from 1 to 2:45 p.m. at the university’s Center for Technology, Innovation and Manufacturing (CTIM), 850 College Ave.

The free, interactive event — part of Women in Tech Week — is aimed at prospective students and offers hands-on activities across four tracks: robotics and automation, where attendees can program a cobot and troubleshoot errors; media and broadcasting, working with TV studio staff to record and produce video content; fire science technology, including a tour of a fire engine and a look at women’s roles in fire science and emergency services; and technology, featuring drone demonstrations and industry applications.

Organizers say the showcase is designed to let attendees explore career paths, build practical skills, and connect with industry professionals.
