Veterans Service Office Night coming up next week

The Jasper American Legion Post 147 and the Veterans Service Office are hosting a VSO Night at the American Legion Post 147 on Thursday, October 23, 2025, from 4 to 8 p.m.

These VSO events are being held to assist veterans with applying for benefits through the Veterans Affairs Department.

The Dubois County VSO is planning to host these events in American Legions around the county, and this is the second event they have hosted. The first was held in August at the Jasper American Legion and 12 veterans were assisted by the county service officer and volunteers.

“These upcoming VSO Nights represent a powerful opportunity for us to make a lasting impact—helping veterans navigate the often-complicated process of filing claims, accessing benefits, and ensuring they receive the care and recognition they’ve earned,” said Kenneth Speedy Lefevre, Dubois County VSO, in an email.
