Valada E. Marx, 93

Valada E. Marx, age 93, of Jasper, passed away at 9:15 a.m. on Tuesday (June 18, 2013) at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper, Indiana.
Valada was born on February 21, 1920 in Huntingburg, Indiana to Louis and Lillian (Lynch) Frick. She married Elmer “Bud” Marx on December 18, 1965 in Owensboro Kentucky. He preceded her in death on March 12, 2003.
Valada retired from General Electric in Owensboro, KY, from which she had worked for over 40 years.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg. She was a charter member of the Huntingburg VFW Post 2366 Ladies Auxiliary. She was a member of the Huntingburg High School Class of 1938.
She enjoyed traveling to Florida and reading.

Preceding her in death besides her husband was one daughter, Brenda Gail Dearing, who died in infancy, brothers Earl, Arthur, Don, and Jim Frick, and one sister Doris L. Arensman.
Funeral services for Valada E. Marx will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday (June 22, 2013) at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg, Indiana with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service time at the church on Saturday.
