U.S. 231 to close from Huntingburg to Jasper
Repairs to be made to railroad crossing
The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announced that U.S. 231 will be closing to repair a railroad crossing in Huntingburg.
On Monday, June 16, at approximately 8:00 a.m., Norfolk Southern railroad crews will close U.S. 231 from the junction of State Road 64 to the junction of State Road 162 in Jasper. Crews will be making repairs to the rail crossing 0.13 miles north of S.R. 64. All work is scheduled to be complete by 2:00 p.m. local time on Friday, June 20, weather permitting.
Local traffic will have access to the point of closure. The official detour will route traffic on S.R. 64 and S.R. 162.
