U.S. 231 pipe replacement to close highway north of Haysville

Next Monday, U.S. 231 will be closed from State Road 56 in Haysville to U.S. 50 in Logootee while crews perform pipe replacement projects.

Beginning at 8 a.m. Monday, Sept. 21, crews will close U.S. 231 to begin work to replace four culvert pipes. The closure will last for approximately five days depending upon weather conditions.

During that time, U.S. 231 will be closed to through traffic from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. However, school traffic will have access to the point of closure in the morning and afternoon. The official detour uses S.R. 56 in Jasper to S.R. 61, to Interstate 69 To U.S. 50 in Washington.
