Tyler Ritchison named head distiller at Old Homestead Distilling

Birdseye — Old Homestead Distilling Co. (OHDC) announced the promotion of Tyler Ritchison to Head Distiller, marking an exciting milestone in the distillery’s continued growth.

“We are excited about Tyler Ritchison’s promotion to Head Distiller,” said Stephen Bartels, Distillery President. “He has been an essential part of OHDC since shortly after we opened. His dedication, attention to detail, and passion for distilling have played an important role in shaping the spirits we produce today.”

“I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve as Head Distiller at Old Homestead,” said Ritchison. “Being part of Old Homestead’s journey has been an amazing experience, and I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished together. I’m excited to continue building on that foundation, exploring new ideas, and creating spirits our guests love and are proud to share with family and friends.”

This announcement comes at a pivotal time for Old Homestead Distilling Co., with several milestones on the horizon. Most notably, later this year OHDC will release its first aged whiskey, a project years in the making. The launch will also mark the beginning of the distillery’s self-distribution program, bringing these whiskies to retailers, restaurants, and guests throughout Indiana.

This has been a goal we’ve worked toward for years, and seeing it finally come to life is a significant moment for our team,” Distillery Manager Jolee Kasprzak said. “We’re proud of what we’ve created and excited for everyone to experience it.”
