The Holland Town Council swore in two new marshals at a special meeting on Wednesday.

Ron Drew, a 34-year veteran police officer who most recently served as Huntingburg’s Chief of Police, is the new town marshal and Paul Voegerl Jr., a retired Marine, will serve as deputy marshal.

Drew, 62, of Huntingburg, is married with five children and eight grandchildren. He says he looks forward to the new job and the good he can bring to the Holland community.

Voegerl, 30, of Holland, is married with three children. He explained that he has been interested in a law enforcement job for awhile but wanted to serve in his own community.

“I am looking forward to having the chance to learn from an officer with as much experience as Drew has,” Voegerl said.

The two officially begin their duties as marshals next Monday.
