Two more Covid-19 deaths reported

Thursday, the Dubois County Health Department reported two more deaths related to Covid-19 bringing the total deaths up to 16.

“It is with a heavy heart that I share the news of two additional COVID-19 related deaths within Dubois County, At this time we keep their friends and families in our thoughts and prayers, “said Dr. Ted Waflart. “This serves as an unfortunate reminder to all of the Dubois County community about the importance of following the recommended guidelines to stop the spread of this virus and help protect our most vulnerable neighbors. We cannot stress enough for you all to wear a mask when around others, practicing social distancing, wash your hands frequently and if tested remain at home until you have received your results.”

Along with the two deaths, five more positive cases were reported bringing the total cases in Dubois County to 772. Of the 772 cases, 608 have reportedly recovered from the virus. The health department 5,972 tests submitted.

“Con gran pesar les comparto la noticia de dos muertes adicionales reacionadas en condado de Dubois, en este momento mantenemos a sus amigos y familiars en nuestros pensamientos y oraciones,” dijo el Dr. Ted Waflart. “Esto sirve como un recordatorio desafortunado para toda la comunidad del condado de Dubois sobre la importancia de seguir las pautas recomendadas para detener la propagación de este virus y ayudar a proteger a nuestros vecinos más vulnerables.  No podemos enfatizar lo suficiente para que todos ustedes usen una máscara cuando estén cerca de otros, practicando distanciamiento social y lavándose las manos con frecuencia y si se hace la prueba permanezca en casa hasta que reciba los resultados.”
