Two land in jail after late night Taco Bell run

A man and woman on a 1 a.m. Taco Bell run ended up in jail for drunken driving after crashing in front of the restaurant Sunday morning.

Police said, both Benjamin J. Wagner, 30, and Christine M. Ziegler, 27, both of Villa Dr., Jasper, had a .17 percent blood alcohol content.

According to police, an employee at the restaurant called them after Wagner crashed the 1999 Ford Ranger in front of the store. After crashing, Ziegler got into the driver’s seat as Wagner attempted to push the truck away from the scene.

Jasper officers arrested both for operating while intoxicated and booked them into the Dubois County Security Center.
