Two Jasper Post troopers recognized by Mothers Against Drunk Driving
Two local Indiana State Troopers were recognized by the Indiana chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Driving (M.A.D.D.) for excellence in getting drunk drivers off Indiana’s roads.
Trooper Noah Ewing of the Indiana State Police Jasper Post was recognized for his impressive efforts. In 2020, Ewing was responsible for removing 50 drunk drivers from our local roads. Ewing primarily patrols Orange County. Ewing graduated from the 75th Recruit Academy.
Trooper Teressa Bowling of the Indiana State Police Jasper Post was also recognized for her part in removing 37 drunk drivers from Indiana’s roads. Bowling primarily patrols Perry County. Bowling is a graduate of the Indiana State Police 78th Recruit Academy and was the 2020 Jasper Trooper of the Year.
NHTSA data shows nearly 30 people die every day across the United States in drunk driving crashes. That averages to one preventable death every 50 minutes, making the efforts of these troopers even more commendable.
Recognized troopers received a certificate for their achievements as well as a pin and a challenge coin.
