According to the prosecutor’s office, police were called to Farbest Foods in Huntingburg, related to an ongoing fight in the parking lot. Upon arrival, officers determined that Marino Estiverne Felix Cuevas allegedly forcibly removed a victim from a vehicle at gunpoint and forced that person into another vehicle. That victim escaped the second vehicle, and Cuevas fled in his vehicle. Cuevas was accompanied in his vehicle by Noncent.
Officers with the Indiana State Police located Cuevas’s vehicle traveling southbound on US 231 and conducted a traffic stop. Officers determined that Noncent allegedly threw the firearm involved in the incident out the vehicle’s passenger window. Officers recovered that firearm.
Both men appeared in Dubois Circuit Court before Judge Nathan Verkamp on February 4, 2026, for initial hearings. Judge Verkamp set bond for Cuevas at $25,000 cash only, with Cuevas to be placed on enhanced pre-trial monitoring if he posts bond. The Court also ordered that Cuevas be placed on electronic GPS monitoring if he posts bond.
Judge Verkamp set bond for Noncent at $20,000 cash only, with Noncent also to be placed on enhanced pre-trial monitoring if he posts bond.
