TRI-CAP offers HIV/AIDS testing

March 10 is National Women & Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day and TRI-CAP wants to raise awareness by promoting testing.

According to the organization, one in every four people living with HIV in the US is a woman.Nearly 20 percent of all new HIV diagnoses are among women and most women who are HIV positive got the disease from heterosexual sex.

The only way to know for sure if you have HIV is to be tested.

TRI-CAP offers HIV testing on a sliding scale fee and accepts all forms of insurance. Located at 607 Third Avenue, Jasper, appointments for HIV testing and other family planning services are available on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
