Tractor rollover results in Odon man’s death

Daviess County deputies are investigating a fatal rollover crash involving a tractor that occurred Tuesday evening.

At approximately 11:10 p.m., Daviess County Central Dispatch received a call regarding a tractor that was upside down in a ditch near the intersection of County Road 1000 North and County Road 775 East near Odon.

Through the investigation, Daviess County deputies determined Kevin Knepp, 18, of Odon, was driving northbound on County Road 775 East when, for an unknown reason, the tractor veered off the roadway into a ditch which caused the tractor to flip upside down. The tractor landed on top of Mr. Knepp, police said.

Kevin Knepp was pronounced deceased at the scene. The family has been notified.

The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office is the investigating agency.

The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Plainville Volunteer Fire Department, the Daviess County Ambulance Service, the Daviess County Coroner’s Office, Tri County Wrecker Service and Dave’s Wrecker Service.
