Tip leads to meth manufacturing arrest in Huntingburg

Thursday afternoon, Huntingburg officers arrested a Huntingburg man for manufacturing methamphetamine at a South Chestnut Street residence.
According to police, they received a tip about someone manufacturing meth at 609 S. Chestnut Street at about 5:30 p.m. Officers responded to the residence and made contact with Troy Denton, 29. During that contact, officers developed probable cause that Denton was manufacturing meth in the home. The officers secured the home and applied for a search warrant through the Dubois County Superior Court.
The Indiana State Police Meth Suppression team responded to the home and after the search warrant was granted, officers located multiple items in the home indicating meth was being manufactured. The state police team removed the items.
Police charged Denton with a Level 6 felony count of possession of drug precursors with intent to manufacture meth.
He was booked into the Dubois County Security Center.
