Tina M. Dieter, 60, St. Meinrad

Tina M. Dieter, 60, of St. Meinrad, passed away on April 22, 2026, at her home after an eight-year battle with cancer.

She was born on April 17, 1966, in Huntingburg, to Gerald and Darlene (Schmitt) Jacob.

She married Kenneth Jude Dieter on October 28, 2010.

Tina was intelligent, witty, and compassionate. She enjoyed solving puzzles and sharing laughter with her family. When reflecting on her role as a mother and her caring nature, she would humbly say that “she tried.”

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her loving husband, Kenneth J. Dieter; two sons, Camden (Elizabeth) Schaefer and Conrad Schaefer; one grandson, Dexter Schaefer; and three siblings, Wayne (Barbara) Jacob, Sherri (Denny) Rickelman and Tara (Bryan) Eckert.

A funeral mass for Tina M. Dieter will be held at 10:00 a.m. CDT (11:00 a.m. EDT) on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at St. Meinrad Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the St. Meinrad Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. CDT (10:00 to 11:00 a.m. EDT) prior to the mass on Thursday, at the church. Rainey Funeral Home in Dale has been entrusted with handling the arrangements.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Deaconess Memorial Medical Center and Heart-to-Heart Hospice for their help in making her final weeks as comfortable as possible.
