Thyen-Clark Cultural Center celebrates youth art

The artwork of Dubois County students will be featured at the ThyenClark Cultural Center during Youth Art Month which is celebrated annually during the month of March.
The Art Education Association of Indiana and the National Education
Association appointed March as a time to recognize and celebrate the creativity and artistic talents of our children. Art organizations and art educators are asked to come together to help local communities highlight art education this month. In this spirit, Jasper Community Arts will be hosting the Annual “Youth Art” Exhibit from March 4 to April 19, 2021, at the Thyen-Clark Cultural Center with support from Universal Design
Associates, Inc.

This year’s exhibit will be showcasing artwork by area high school and elementary school students simultaneously in two galleries. Participating in the display are: Jasper High School, Southridge High School, Forest Park High School and Northeast Dubois High School.
The second gallery will feature local elementary schools which are: Cedar
Crest Intermediate, Northeast Dubois Intermediate, Jasper Elementary, Holy Trinity Elementary, Pine Ridge Elementary, Ferdinand Elementary, Ireland Elementary, and Huntingburg Elementary.
The galleries at the Thyen-Clark Cultural Center, located at 100 3rd Avenue, Suite A, Jasper, IN 47546, are open to the public Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5 pm, Saturday from 10:00 am to 2 pm and Sunday from noon to 3 pm. School groups, clubs and students are welcome.
