The Thrift Shop Prom at Redemption Christian Church launches the second semester of the teen outreach ministry, The Well. Music was provided by DJRerum.
Students from around the area attended Redemption Christian Church’s (formerly Christian Church of Jasper) annual teen ministry kickoff Wednesday evening.
Each year, organizers hold a special event to begin the new semester of The Well. This year’s theme was a thrift shop prom. Students and coaches were encouraged to shop at local thrift shops to create ensembles for the fun dance.
“The prom introduces students into our programming and ministry,” Redemption Student Minister Corey Andry said. “It’s a first step to get them through the door and introduce them to the gospel. We believe Christianity is fun and we want them to know that as well.”
