Three new Covid-19 cases in Dubois County

Thursday, the Dubois County Health Department confirmed three new positive cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) have been identified. This brings the total to 246 positive cases of COVID-19 in Dubois County residents.  

Of the 246 cases, 194 have reportedly recovered and there have been five deaths. The health department has reported 2,035 tests have been submitted.

The Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) announced that 584 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 through testing at ISDH, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and private laboratories. That brings the total number of Indiana residents known to have the novel coronavirus to 41,438 following corrections to the previous day’s total.

A total of 2,304 Hoosiers are confirmed to have died from COVID-19, an increase of 15 over the previous day. Another 187 probable deaths have been reported based on clinical diagnoses in patients for whom no positive test is on record. Deaths are reported based on when data are received by ISDH and occurred over multiple days.

Estamos trabajando en estrecha colaboración con el Departamento de Salud del Estado de Indiana y funcionarios locales para asegurar que se identifiquen y supervisen los contactos estrechos de los pacientes.  Todas las personas que pueden tener un riesgo de exposición a estos casos positivos están siendo notificadas sobre posibles exposiciones para que se puedan seguir procedimientos adecuados de control de infecciones.  Los casos positivos están aislados.
