A mother and her three children were taken to Memorial Hospital after the vehicle they were occupants in crashed.

According to state troopers, Brandy C. Nobbe, 30, of Indianapolis, was driving a 2000 GMC Safari southbound on U.S. 231 near the Truelove Church Road intersection at about 9:41 a.m. today. Nobbe lost control of the Safari on the slick roadway and crossed the northbound lane, went off the road into a ditch and struck a utility pole.

Nobbe, along with her adult passenger, Angel Royer, 39, of Loogootee, and her three children — Alexus Royer, 11; Brinley Royer, 10; and Addison Royer, 2 — were all transported to Memorial Hospital for injuries. Nobbe was admitted due to sustaining a fractured spine; the other four passengers were treated and released.

The vehicle was totaled in the crash.

Further investigation revealed that Nobbe tested positive for a controlled substance. Due to her being admitted to the hospital for injuries, she was cited into court on a charge of D felony operating while intoxicated with minor passengers and speed too fast for weather conditions.

Trooper Jarrod Lents additionally found that Royer was wanted out of Daviess and Spencer Counties for charges of check deception. She was placed into custody and transported to the Daviess County Jail.
