Thomas S. Walters, 79

Thomas S. Walters, age 79, of Ormond Beach, Florida, passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at his residence in Florida.

He was born June 12, 1933 in Perry County, Indiana to Ellery and Edna (Tucker) Walters. He married Gladys Peak on April 25, 1953 in Evansville, Indiana. Mr. Walters was a retired construction worker. He was preceded in death by: one son, James Walters; one daughter, Shannon Walters; and one half-brother, Donald Lasher.

He is survived by: His wife, Gladys Walters – Ormond Beach, FL; One daughter, Shawn Morgan – Ormond Beach, FL; One son, Scott Walters – Ormond Beach, FL; One sister, Rita Kelly – Evansville, IN; Two half-brothers,  Ronald Walters – Nashville, TN and Kenneth Walters – Nashville, TN; and by five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

A graveside committal service for Thomas S. Walters will be held at 1:00 p.m., (E.S.T.), on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at Foster’s Ridge Cemetery in Uniontown, Indiana. Friends may meet directly at the cemetery for the graveside service. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
