Thomas Othmar Weyer, 66, Saint Anthony

Thomas Othmar Weyer, 66, of Saint Anthony, passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at his home.

Thomas was born November 14, 1951, in Huntingburg to Othmar “Oats” & Helen (Heilers) Weyer. He was united in marriage to Doris L. Klem.

Thomas retired from Masterbrand Cabinets, Plant 4 in Ferdinand. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, a member of Saint Anthony American Legion Post # 493 and the Ferdinand American Legion Post 124. He attended Redemption Christian Church in Jasper. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Doris L. Klem; two sons, Craig (Lori) Weyer and Clifford (Leah) Weyer, both of St. Anthony; two daughters, Erin Gould (Ryan Stemle) of Schnellville and Nina (Chad) Pitt of Plainfield; two stepsons, Dwayne (Cindy) Klem of St. Anthony and Brian (Jennifer) Klem of Coppell, Texas; three stepdaughters, Rhonda Oser of Bretzville, Sheila (Roman) Wagner of St. Anthony and Glenda (Matt) Brames of Bretzville; 13 grandchildren and 17 step-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Wayne (Linda) Weyer of Ferdinand, Tim (Liz) Weyer of Bozeman, Mt. and Joe Weyer of Spokane, Wash.; three sisters, Linda Herrington of Richardson, Texas, Kathy (Jack) Schnieders of Ferdinand, and Jane (Larry) Marquez of Collierville, Tenn.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, Norb Nordhoff.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at Redemption Christian Church, 1450 Energy Drive in Jasper, Rev. Darrel Land will officiate. Friends may call for visitation at the church after 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Burial will follow in Saint Ferdinand Church Cemetery, Ferdinand. Saint Anthony American Legion Post 493 will conduct military graveside rites.
