Thomas E. Wright, 73
Thomas E. Wright, age 73, of Birdseye, Indiana, passed away at 7:53 p.m., Sunday, September 4, 2011 in the emergency room of Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.
He was born May 22, 1938 in Crawford County, Indiana to Lloyd and Eithel (Underhill) Wright. Tom was a retired truck driver. He was preceded in death by: one son, Tim Wright; and one sister, Rosalee Allen.
He is survived by:
- His wife, Charlotte A. (Blunk) Wright – Birdseye, IN,
- One daughter, Darlene Merkel – Birdseye, IN,
- Four sons, Eugene Wright – Birdseye, IN, Larry Wright – Birdseye, IN, Denny Wright – Birdseye, IN, and Robert Wright – New Albany, IN,
- One brother,Lloyd Wright, Jr. – Birdseye, IN,
- Three sisters,Lulabelle Morgan – Birdseye, IN, Mary Kellems – Birdseye, IN, and Carolyn King – Boonville, IN,
- by (9) grandchildren and (1) great grandchild.
Cremation will take place followed by a private graveside interment at Mentor Cemetery in Mentor, Indiana. There will be no visitation or funeral services. Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg has been entrusted with the burial arrangements.

I am so sorry to hear the news of Uncle Tom's passing. We are keeping all of you in our prayers and wishing we could be there to give you a hug.
