Theron Seemann, 80

Theron Seemann, 80, of Jasper, passed away at 10:40 a.m. Friday, March 20, 2015, at the St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper.

He was born in Terre Haute, Indiana on July 20, 1934, to Kenneth and Mildred (Hancock) Seemann. He married Helen French 1960 at Terre Haute, Indiana.

Theron was a graduate of Purdue University with a degree in Animal Husbandry. He worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture and retired from Dubois County Soil & Water Conservation Department in Jasper for 46 years. Also worked part-time at Sultan Run Golf Course for ten years.

Theron was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 1175, American Legion Post # 147 and the Masonic Line Lodge F & AM .

He is survived by his wife, Helen Seemann; daughters, Lea Watts and husband Jerry of Clermont, Fla. and Jill Motluck and husband Mark of Indianapolis; son, Jay Seemann and wife Heather of Raleigh, N.C.; grandchildren, Bailey and Bryce Seemann of Raleigh, N.C.; sister,
Modena Fry of Terre Haute.

Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at Trinity United Church of Christ in Jasper on Saturday, April 4, 2015, at 3:00 p.m.

Visitation from 1 to 3 p.m. at Trinity United Church of Christ. Committal service will be held at a later date. The Rev. Jane Hillman will officiate.

In lieu of flowers Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Youth Ministry or to St. Charles Health living the Dream foundation. Becher-Kluesner Funeral Homes in care of arrangements.
