Thermwood announces $1,000 scholarship awards

Thermwood Corporation presented four $1,000 scholarships to area students.  

Each student will receive a renewable $1000 per year scholarship. The recipients this year are Colton Glenn, Kristina Nelson, Farrah Frakes, and Jacob Pund.

Colton Glenn is the son of Jim and Doris Glenn of Ferdinand. He is a member of the Forest Park High School graduating class of 2016. Colton has been a member of Forest Park Band. His is an Eagle Scout. He has participated in wrestling and has been a semi-state qualifier as well as sectional champion. Colton will be attending Vincennes University this fall.

Kristina Nelson is the daughter of Jason Nelson and Ryan and Mary Callahan of Gentryville. She is a member of the Heritage Hills graduating class of 2016. She has participated in choir while in high school and will be attending Ivy Tech for criminal justice.

Farrah Frakes is the daughter of Dawn Tullis of Santa Claus. She is part of the 2016 graduating class at Heritage Hills High School. She was a cheerleader throughout school. Farrah was also a member of National Honor Society, Beta, Optimist Club and Pep Club. She will be attending IUPUI this fall for exercise science and occupational therapy.

Jacob Pund is the son of John Pund and Kim Fleck. He is part of the 2016 graduating class at Heritage Hills High School. He has been part of both the football and track teams. Jacob was also a member of FFA and St Ferdinand Church. He will be attending the University of Southern Indiana this fall for nursing.

Thermwood Corporation issued a congratulations to all seniors and wished them the very best in their future studies and careers.
