Theresa S. Montgomery, 74, Huntingburg

Theresa S. Montgomery, 74, of Huntingburg, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at Deaconess Memorial Hospital in Jasper.

She was born on June 11, 1952, in Jasper to Stephen and Sabina (Cinchowska) Brezinski.  

She married Thomas Montgomery on November 21, 1970, in St. Anthony.  

She enjoyed watching soap operas and was known to say she was “watching her stories” and embroidering.  

She loved her grandchildren dearly.  

Theresa was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Tom on May 22, 2000; and two brothers, Steve and Stanley Brezinski.

She is survived by her children, Tim (Stacy) Montgomery of Jasper, Alfred Montgomery of Huntingburg, Tonya Ballou of Jasper, Teddy Montgomery of Evansville; siblings, Helen Jones, Cecelia O’Connor, Johnny Brezinski; grandchildren, Alex, Jaden and Dominic.

A private family graveside service for Theresa Montgomery will be held at Cup Creek Cemetery in Velpen.  Pastor Jacob Keeling will officiate the service.
