The Why Store returns to Astra Theatre on Saturday, June 13

The Why Store is officially open for business at The Astra on Saturday, June 13. Doors for this event will open at 7:00 p.m., with the night’s music beginning at 8:00 p.m.
Reserved seating tickets are $20 for balcony seats and $25 for main level seating.
Formed in the late 1980s in Muncie, IN, The Why Store is armed with over 150 original songs and a reputation for funked-up covers. No two shows are ever the same. Frontman Chris Shaffer’s unmistakable voice leads the way for a blend of rock, jam-band energy, funk, and bluegrass into every performance.
The evening of music will kick off with music that is built loud, played hard, and meant to be felt when Stackin’ Eights Band opens, beginning at 8:00 PM. Their sound is raw, tight, and built for live rooms that want energy, musicianship, and songs that connect.
In addition to sharing the evening with The Why Store, the Next Act, Inc. invites you to join them at The Astra for other 2026 events. These events include Ward Davis on Saturday, May 16, The Woomblies Rock Orchestra on Saturday, June 27, Chris Knight on Saturday, July 11, and many more. All events have tickets available on our website at AstraTheater.com, with more events to come.
The historic Astra Theatre is located in the heart of downtown Jasper, Indiana. Newly renovated with 357 seats, the Astra has main level and balcony seating with a concessions stand offering snacks and drinks that are available for purchase during the events.
