The Old Homestead Hotel & Distillery and Patoka Lake Winery to present Friday the 13th Murder Mystery Masquerade Ball

The Old Homestead Hotel & Distillery and Patoka Lake Winery will present “Midnight at the Masquerade,” an interactive murder-mystery dinner theater experience, on Friday, February 13th, 2026, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. EST.

The event builds on the success of the venues’ previous murder mystery offering, “Death of a Gangster,” expanding their entertainment programming with a sophisticated masquerade ball theme that combines fine dining, wine service, and interactive theater.

“The rustle of silks and feathers under muted conversation was probably the last thing heard by the tragically and unexpectedly deceased at the Billionaires’ Club Annual Masquerade Ball,” according to the event description. Guests will step into the role of investigators, trading clues and gathering information to solve the crime before the evening concludes.

The experience targets multiple market segments, positioning itself as an ideal option for Friday the 13th date nights, girls’ nights out, early Valentine’s celebrations, Mardi Gras weekend festivities, or group getaways. The timing capitalizes on several overlapping occasions that drive social dining and entertainment spending.

Guests are encouraged to embrace the upscale theme with evening wear, ball gowns, Venetian masks, suits, and tuxedos. The dress code reinforces the premium positioning of the experience, differentiating it from casual entertainment options in the market.

Tickets are available on October 24, 2025, with organizers noting limited availability.
