The BIG brush off … Ferdinand Brothers of the Brush to receive clean shaves
Gentlemen, start your engines.
No, not your car engines. Your electric razor engines. Or maybe electric razor motors is a better description.
Better still, let barber Luke Tieken get rid of that pesky stubble so your cheeks are as smooth as a baby’s behind during the inaugural 2015 event in celebration of Ferdinand’s Demisemiseptcentennial or Demisemiseptcentenary or Quartoseptcentennial or Quartoseptcentenary or Terquasquicentennial or — as the committee prefers to call it — the 175th anniversary of the Town’s founding.
As was done as a centennial feature in 1990, 1965, 1940 and probably 1890, Ferdinand gents are invited to join a unique fraternity by having their faces clean shaven on Sunday, January 4 at 2 p.m. (EST). Then all they have to do is let their beards grow until the huge 175th celebration in June, when their whiskers will be judged in a variety of categories (haven’t heard whether “prettiest” will be among them).
All Ferdinand gents able to grow hair on their faces are invited and encouraged to participate.
