That’s a nice boulder

A boulder made its way into the middle of First Street in Huntingburg yesterday but not without a little help.

Andy King at Mor-For-Less reported the store’s camera’s picked up the entire incident.

Apparently, a northbound tractor-trailer pulled into the store’s parking lot from U.S. 231 with the intention to use it to turn around. As the truck cut the turn onto First Street from the lot, the tractor cleared the boulder but the trailer didn’t quite make it.

According to Andy, the entire 52-foot trailer was jolted into the air as it ran over and dislodged the boulder.
The truck then headed south on U.S. 231 without looking back.

Andy said he has been in touch with the company, but damages were limited to about $35 to move the boulder back and a potentially mortally wounded rose bush.

HeĀ figured the rosebush would come back.
