Taste of Jasper Friday evening features live music and special treats

An evening of chocolate will let you get a taste of Jasper’s downtown specialty shops this Friday.

The event will be held  6 – 8 p.m. and include sampling of chocolate desserts and entertainment at certain shops around the square.

Participating business include Chocolate Bliss, Just Whimsy, Let’s Do Lunch, Finishing Touches and Impulse.

Ann Recker, owner of Chocolate Bliss, says the evening would be a great girl’s night out or date night.  Her store will sample chocolate-covered grapes and chocolate-covered potato chips.

Just Whimsy will feature local musicians Kent and Mark Sparrow.

The night also makes a good excuse to windowshop for valentine’s day. Other discounts and valentine’s givewaways will also be offered during the event.
