Tammy Gerber named Learning & Development Coordinator at Springs Valley Bank & Trust Company
Tammy Gerber has joined Springs Valley Bank & Trust Company as Learning & Development Coordinator.

Tammy earned a B.S. in Education from Indiana University and a master’s degree from Indiana Wesleyan University and is currently working toward completing her Ph.D. in Educational Leadership. Her career in education has included teaching in public schools in Gibson and Dubois counties, as well as serving as an assistant professor of English, department chair, and business and industry instructor at Vincennes University’s Jasper Campus. She has also presented scholarly work at the John Dewey Society Conference in Baltimore, Maryland, at Johns Hopkins University, and the British Post-Colonial Conference in Savannah, Georgia.
Service has long been important to Tammy. She has held several officer roles with the Southridge Basketball and Football Boosters, remains active in children’s programs at Huntingburg Methodist Church, and previously served on Young Life committees.
Some of Tammy’s earliest lessons about hard work, perseverance, and growth came from life on her family’s horse farm.
“I lived on a horse farm as a child, and there was always much work to do and not enough time. My dad’s famous words were, ‘Just pull up your bootstraps!,’” said Tammy. “Challenges have a way of revealing opportunities for growth. I want to carry that mindset forward by always looking for ways to learn, improve, and grow. I am proud to be part of Springs Valley Bank & Trust Company and to contribute to a community bank that genuinely cares about people.”
Tammy lives in Huntingburg, Indiana, with her husband and high school sweetheart, Dennis. They have three sons, Coleman, Cort, and Crew. The family shares a love for Indiana University and IU football. Outside of work, Tammy enjoys walking, yoga, reading, and traveling.
“Tammy’s experience and passion for helping others grow make her a great fit for this role,” said Dianna Land, SEVP & COO. “We’re pleased to have her focused on supporting the continued development of our team and building the knowledge and skills that help us provide the best possible service to our customers and communities.”
