SVB&T announces additions
Springs Valley Bank & Trust announced the addition of three new employees.

Michael “Mike” Smith has joined Springs Valley Bank & Trust Company as a Vice President of Commercial Lending.
With over 30 years of banking experience, Mr. Smith brings extensive knowledge of lending and community banking to the Springs Valley Bank team. Smith has a temporary office at the Valley Banking Center. His permanent office will be located at Springs Valley’s Paoli Banking Center.
Smith is a 1978 Paoli High School graduate and a 1982 graduate of Sterling College in Kansas. He was previously a board member with the Indiana Bankers Association and attended the Graduate School of Banking, Fairfield, Conn. He is active in the Valeene Wesleyan Church and was previously involved in coaching basketball and football at Paoli Jr. & Sr. High School. Mike and wife Debbie, have three children and four grandchildren.

Douglas “Doug” Pittman has joined Springs Valley Bank & Trust Company as a Vice President of Commercial Lending.
As a well-known local leader, he brings with him over 35 years of banking experience and a reputation for building long-lasting customer relationships. Mr. Pittman has a temporary office at the Valley Banking Center. His permanent office will be located at Springs Valley’s Paoli Banking Center.
Mr. Pittman serves on the boards at Indiana University Health Paoli Foundation, Older American Services Corporation, Orange County Development Commission, Radius Indiana, and the Indiana Region 8 Work Council. Doug and wife Karen, have three children and four grandchildren.

Zachary “Zach” Patton has joined Springs Valley Bank & Trust Company as a Retail Banking Center Manager.
Zach brings with him several years of hands-on banking experience, having previously worked as a Banking Center Manager. Mr. Patton has temporary offices at the Valley and Jasper Banking Centers. His permanent office will be located at Springs Valley’s Paoli Banking Center.
Patton is a 2006 graduate of Paoli Jr. & Sr. High School and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Indiana University Southeast. He is member of the Southeast Volunteer Fire Department, Paoli Meridian Lions Club and is coach of the Paoli Boys Basketball C-Team and Paoli Youth Football.
“I believe customers, businesses, and communities are looking for a bank they can trust, one that makes local decisions and still knows what customer service means,” said Shinabarger.
