Susan R. Hubster, 65
Susan R. Hubster, age 65, of Holland, Indiana, passed away Monday, February 25, 2013 at the I.U. Medical Center University Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana.
She was born December 16, 1947 in Louisville, Kentucky to Joseph Polin and Sara Elizabeth (Reeves) Mattingly. She married Morris Hubster, Jr. on June 3, 1972 at Augustana Church in Holland. Mrs. Hubster was a retired school teacher. She taught for 38 years with the Southwest Dubois County School Corporation and was a V.U.J.C. adjunct. She was a member of the Augustana United Church of Christ, N.E.A., I.S.T.A. Retired, Dubois County Retired Teachers Association, Holland Kiwanis, V.F.W. Post #2366 Auxiliary, Holland American Legion Auxiliary, Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary, Holland Town Board, Holland Park Board, Huntingburg Foundation, Dubois County Foundation, and enjoyed bowling. She was preceded in death by: her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Morris “Dusty” Hubster, Jr. of Holland; two sons, Morgan L. Hubster of Holland and Landon P. Hubster of Newburgh; one daughter, Kenley L. Hubster of Newburgh; one brother, Gerald Lee Mattingly of Louisville, KY; and two grandchildren, Maci Hubster – seven year old granddaughter and Graham Hubster – five year old grandson.
Funeral services for Susan Hubster will be held at 10:00 a.m., E.S.T., on Friday, March 1, 2013 at the Augustana United Church of Christ in Holland with burial to follow at Augustana Cemetery (Holland). Pastor Debbie Roe will officiate the services.
Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m., on Thursday; and also at the Augustana United Church of Christ in Holland from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., on Friday morning, prior to the funeral.
The V.F.W. Post #2366 Ladies Auxiliary and Holland American Legion Ladies Auxiliary will conduct a joint memorial service at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home.
