Susan Kay (Nass) Mishel, 55, of Westfield, Ind., passed away on Monday, September 14, 2020, at her home.

She was born September 7, 1965, in Huntingburg to Alan Wayne and Connie Kay (Aufderhar) Nass. 

Susan graduated from Southridge High School and earned her master’s degree in Speech Pathology from Ball State University. She would go on to work as a successful speech pathologist at the Indianapolis V.A. Hospital and St. Vincent’s Hospital in Indianapolis. 

She is survived by two daughters, Alexis Mishel and Anna Mishel, both of Carmel; her parents, Alan and Connie Nass of Huntingburg; and two brothers, Andy (Sammy Stills) Nass of Huntingburg and Stephen Nass of Evansville.

Private visitation and funeral services will be held at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Fairmount Cemetery, Huntingburg. 

Pastor Mark McDaniel will officiate at the services.

  3. WHEN WE KNOW her soul is already in Heaven, we cannot actually say we have “lost” her.

    The Good Lord promises an easy life to no one. What He DOES promise is a soft landing. Susan enjoys that now. One of these days, we will all meet again.
