Dubois County residents are being asked to complete a survey to assist the Dubois County Park and Recreation Board in creating a 5-year master plan for the county’s recreation opportunities.

Questions on the survey include “Do you support construction of the Parklands located in Jasper?”; “For residents of the Huntingburg area, what amenities would you like to see added to Huntingburg Charles C. Niehaus Park?”; and “Do you find it difficult to find out about recreational opportunities and programs within the county?”

The survey also asks residents to list other recreational activities they would like to see added to the county.

The Dubois County Park & Recreation Board would like to know what you think about the future of the county’s parks and recreational opportunities.

The responses to the survey will guide the Park & Recreation Boards of Dubois County in their decisions concerning future needs and growth. To gather your input on the future decisions of these boards, surveys will be distributed to the local communities.

The survey will be available both online and in paper on Thursday, June 18, 2015 and will conclude on Wednesday, July 15, 2015.

The online survey is available to residents in Dubois County via ; this link is also on www.ind15rpc.org under the Other Links tab and on Dubois County’s website www.duboiscountyin.org/offices/park.html.  Paper surveys are also available to county constituents at local libraries, area banks, and city or town halls.

Please fill out only one either online or paper survey only. Your answers will be kept anonymous. Please answer the questions thoughtfully, and we encourage you to discuss the questions and your answers among your family and friends.

According to the parks board, participation in this survey is very important. Your input will be used to guide the writing of the Dubois County Master Park and Recreation Plan for 2017-2021.
