Support and prayer vigil information for Dubois teens involved in crash
Friends and family members of the teens involved in the fatal crash last Friday have launched a GoFundMe page for funeral expenses for Landon Mattingly.
The 18-year-old was set to graduate early from Northeast Dubois High School but was killed in the crash that occurred on Jasper-Dubois Road Friday morning.
According to the GoFundMe page, Friday was Landon’s birthday and he was driving to meet his mother, Laura, for a birthday lunch when he lost control of his car in the rain and collided with a car driven by Corbyn Musick.
The pair were good friends.
Corbyn was taken by helicopter to an Evansville hospital where he is currently recovering from his injuries.
Anyone wanting to send Corbyn cards can mail them to P.O. Box 14, Dubois, Ind. 47527.
A special candlelight vigil is being held Monday evening at 8 p.m. at St. Raphael Church in Dubois.
“My family and I deeply appreciate all of the prayers, phone calls and messages we have received,” said Angel Gogel, Corbyn’s sister. “The amount of support we have been shown is absolutely incredible. It’s one of the things I love most about living in a small town— the way everyone comes together is inspiring. All we can ask for at this time is continued prayers for healing. This is a difficult time for our family and Landon’s.”
