Sultan’s Run unveils improvements to course, clubhouse

Sultan’s Run has completed improvements at the renowned Jasper golf course.
Managing partner Chris Tretter announced the iconic 18th hole waterfall had been doubled in width. “The 18th hole was named to the state’s list of signature holes in 2020,” he said. “This should ensure we keep that designation.”
The waterfall takes advantage of the natural geographic feature that the entire course was designed around.
Additionally, the Tretter and his partner, Steve Braun, completed an expansion of the clubhouse to create a covered patio overlooking the final hole.

Other course improvements have been made to give golfers an even better experience on the course.
According to Tretter, besides the 4,000 to 5,000 games of golf played on the course by local golfers, Sultan’s Run attracts up to 17,000 golfers from throughout the United States annually.
While the pandemic postponed plans to add cabins to the property, Tretter and Braun have intentions to complete that expansion as well as potentially adding housing and another entertainment center on the acreage the course owns in Jasper.
The improvements are designed to continue to place Sultan’s Run on the must-visit lists for golfers across the country.
