Strassenfest Half Pot exceeds $130,000, tickets still available

The Jasper Strassenfest Half Pot is in its final days of sales and the current total as of 9 a.m. on Friday, August 8, is $130,295. The goal is to surpass last year’s total of $150,000.

Tickets will be sold through Wednesday, August 13 at the big red booth in front of Ruler Foods in Jasper, 155 E 30th Street. Hours for ticket sales are Friday from 5-7 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Monday through Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. 

Ticket prices are one for $5, three for $10, 20 for $20, 50 for $40, and 150 for $100 and can be purchased with cash or card.  

Half Pot proceeds help to benefit local students with full-ride scholarships to Vincennes University Jasper (includes tuition, laptop and $500 book stipend). Balance is used towards the community, financial stability of the Jasper Strassenfest and protection of our non-profits — an important part of our festival.

The drawing will take place at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 15 at the Jasper Chamber of Commerce.
