Sticky situation raises funds for Jasper Middle School DI teams

The principal and vice principal of Jasper Middle School agreed to be duct-taped to a gymnasium wall Friday morning before class to support the school’s two Destination Imagination teams that advanced to the global finals.

David Hubster and Phil Tolbert stood on stools as hundreds of middle schools donated to the cause for a chance to place a length of duct tape on them. There were plenty of pictures and videos shot as the two slowly became large silver gray splats on the wall.

Unfortunately, despite going through nine rolls of duct tape, neither man stuck to the wall when the stools were pulled away.

The Jasper Middle School teams are Hat Trix with Megan Rydberg, Delaney Smith, Ava Harmon, Avery Bartley, Avery Knies, Reid Harmon and Quinn Gunderson as team members and Muggle Worthy, whose team members include Casey Haggh, Casandra Merrimon, Harrison Hulsman, Sydney Schmitt, Isabelle Lorey, Logan Meservy and Alexis Christiansen.
