Steven W. Sunderman, 61

Steven W. Sunderman, 61, of Huntingburg, passed away at 3:35 a.m., Friday, March 6, 2015 at Memorial Hospital & Health Care Center in Jasper.

He was born December 23, 1953 in Huntingburg, Indiana, to Harold E. and Rosalie (Bates) Sunderman. He was united in marriage to Katherine A. Lanman on February 16, 1974 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg.

Mr. Sunderman formerly worked as General Manager at Ackerman Oil Company in Jasper and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father.

He is survived by his wife, Katherine A. Sunderman of Huntingburg; one sister, Donna Harris of Huntingburg; one brother, Harold Sunderman, Jr. of Dale; two sister-in-laws and his caregiver, Kris Harbison of Huntingburg (his caregiver since he became disabled) and Brenda Rutledge of Huron, S.D.; two brother-in-laws, Greg Lanman and Mike Lanman, both of Huntingburg; and by 17 nieces and nephews.

Private funeral services for Steven Sunderman will be held Monday, March 9, 2015 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg with burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Reverend Fr. Ryan Hilderbrand will officiate at the service.

There will be no public visitation.
