Steven E. Wigand, 60

Steven E. Wigand, age 60, of Dubois, Indiana, passed away at 2:57 p.m. Saturday, February 15, 2014, in Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.

He was born in Jasper, Indiana on August 4, 1953 to Albert and Helen (Brosmer) Wigand. He married Beverly Brown January 2, 1993 at West Baden, Indiana.

Steve was a graduate of Dubois High School Class of 1971. He retired from Werner Sawmill and had previously worked for Brosmer Lumber Company in Jasper.

He is a member of St. Raphael’s Catholic Church in Dubois

He enjoyed reading, NASCAR and Cincinnati Reds Baseball.

He is survived by his wife Beverly Wigand; one stepson, Daron Crowder, of Evansville; two sisters, Brenda Meyer and her husband Bill, of Jasper, and Linda Hentrup and husband Dale (Blue), of Dubois; two brothers, Jeff Wigand and wife Joan and Randy Wigand and wife Sheila, both of Dubois; also several nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death besides his parents are one brother Daniel who died in infancy and sister Pam Wigand.

Funeral services for Steven Wigand will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 18, 2014, in St. Raphael’s Catholic Church with burial to follow in St. Raphael’s Cemetery.
