Stephen R. “Steve” Houchin, 66, Stendal
Stephen R. “Steve” Houchin, 66, of Stendal, passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2018, at The Waters of Huntingburg.
He was a former truck driver at Styline and enjoyed animals, being outdoors and working on cars.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his father-in-law, Lugene Andry; brother-in-law, David Andry; and granddaughter, Josie Hagemeyer.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie Houchin of Stendal; three children, Dawn (Joe) Smith of Dayton, Ohio, Rachel (Ryan) Hagemeyer of Stendal, and Hannah Fleck of Greenfield; two stepchildren, Stephen (Lori) Toby of Stendal and Gwen (Scott) Boylan of Indianapolis; his mother-in-law, Norma Andry of Birdseye; two sisters, Sharon (Bill) Leazenby and Kay Marshall both of Huntingburg; 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, October 3, 2018, at Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial at Birdseye Cemetery.
Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be used for headstone expenses.
