Stephen Lee Harker, 79, Alfordsville

Stephen Lee Harker, 79, of Alfordsville, passed away at Amber Manor on July 16, 2026.

He was born to Delmar and Minnie (Helderman) Harker in Alfordsville on August 5, 1946.

Stephen graduated from Alfordsville High School on May 7, 1964.

He served in the United States Air Force from 1965-1969 as a clerk in the 71st Tactical Missile Squadron, being honorably discharged in 1971.

He retired from Alcoa Warrick Operations in 2006 and was a member of Alfordsville United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Stephen Todd Harker; and siblings, Ronnie Harker and Patricia Ziegler.

Stephen is survived by his son, Nathan (Suzanne) Harker; grandsons, Jacob and Joshua Harker; siblings, Ike (Barbara) Harker and Beverly (Mike) Thompson, both of Alfordsville; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at Augusta Cemetery.
